This January, one of Seattle’s most iconic French bakeries, Le Panier, highlights its Signature Pastry of the month: the Mont Blanc.

We invite you to join us for an exceptional evening inside one of Seattle’s most iconic French bakeries. For the very first time, this historic Pike Place Market location opens its doors after regular hours to welcome a small group of French pastry enthusiasts for an exclusive Mont Blanc demonstration led by Chef Victoria.

The Mont Blanc

Inspired by the silhouette of the Alpine mountain, the Mont Blanc is an iconic seasonal dessert of French pâtisserie. Le Panier’s signature interpretation pairs a crisp meringue base with a delicate chestnut cake, enveloped in finely textured chestnut paste. A blackcurrant coulis adds contrast and acidity, while the exterior is finished with a whipped vanilla white chocolate ganache, recalling the snow-capped summit. 

This two-hour experience is designed as a convivial moment of exchange, discovery, and immersion into the art of French pastry.

Live Demonstration

  • Watch the Chef prepare and assemble the Mont Blanc step by step.
  • From meringue and chestnut cake to chestnut paste, coulis, whipped vanilla white chocolate ganache, and delicate piping, you will gain insight into the techniques behind this refined dessert.
  • You will receive the recipe to recreate it at home.

Tasting and Conversation

  • Enjoy a guided tasting of the Mont Blanc.
  • Exchange with Chef Victoria and Le Panier team in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss techniques and ingredients.
  • The evening concludes with a convivial tasting: French breads, selected cheeses, refreshments, and hot beverages.

  • Guided demonstration and meet-up, not hands-on.
  • Minimum Age: 14 and up.
  • Each participant will leave with a Mont Blanc in a takeaway box.
